The data is applicable for the following countries Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda. Regional Protected Areas Dashboard This dashboard shows the protected areas in the 5 countries . A protected area is a clearly defined geographical space, recognized, dedicated and managed, through legal or other effective means, to achieve the long term conservation of nature with associated ecosystem services and cultural values. The State of the Forests will be the first of its kind to present comparable multi-country information on priority themes aimed at providing a regional overview of the current situation of forests.
